  • Harrow, The Assets and American Housewife come to Alibi and W
  • Quantico and Code Black confirmed to return

UKTV today announces a multi-show deal with Disney UK which will see brand new and returning series air exclusively in the UK on W and Alibi in 2018.

UK premieres include: crime drama Harrow, starring Ioan Gruffudd (Liar, Hornblower, Fantastic Four); three series of US comedy American Housewife, starring Katy Mixon (Mike and Molly); and The Assets, featuring Jodie Whittaker (Doctor Who, Broadchurch).

Hit shows Quantico (season three) and Code Black (seasons three and four) will also return to Alibi and W as part of the deal.

Emma Sparks, head of acquisitions at UKTV, said:

We are thrilled to be working with Disney once again to bring these gripping shows to British viewers first. From emergencies in the operating theatre to solving crimes in sunny Brisbane, we are proud to add these series to UKTV's growing slate of premiere acquisitions.

Dayna Donaldson, general manager, Media Distribution, Disney UK & Ireland, said:

With this broad new range of hit series, we're sure to offer something to cater to all UKTV viewers' tastes. We are looking forward to working with UKTV to bring the crime drama Harrow to the UK for the first time, following its great success in Australia, as the first co-production out of ABC Studios International's London-based team.

New and exclusive to Alibi is 10x60' Harrow featuring Ioan Gruffudd as forensic pathologist Dr Daniel Harrow. Brilliant, unorthodox and mysterious, Dr Harrow's total disregard for authority and his unfailing empathy for the dead help him solve even the most bizarre of cases. Set in Australia, Harrow is co-created by Secrets and Lies writer, Stephen M. Irwin and producer, Leigh McGrath, and produced by ABC Studios International, Hoodlum Entertainment, and the Australian Broadcasting Company.

Coming to W is sharp new comedy American Housewife, from ABC Studios. The series chronicles the daily life of housewife Katie Otto (Katy Mixon) as she tries to stand out among the wealthy and pretentious housewives and their privileged children in her new hometown of Westport, Connecticut.

Also included in the deal is eight-part US drama The Assets, from Lincoln Square Productions, starring Jodie Whittaker as CIA officer Sandra Grimes. The series is based on the book Circle of Treason: A CIA Account of Traitor Aldrich Ames and the Men He Betrayed.

Quantico

Quantico, from ABC Studios, will return to Alibi with season three launching exclusively on the channel in June.

The crime-drama follows the lives of young FBI recruits training at the Quantico base in Virginia and it has proved a hit with Alibi's viewers. Priyanka Chopra (Baywatch) returns as Alex Parrish and she's joined by an all-star cast including Russell Tovey (Being Human, Him and Her), Johanna Braddy (Paranormal Activity 3) and Blar Underwood (The Good Wife, Rules of Engagement).

Code Black

Exclusive to W is the return of ABC Studios' Code Black with seasons three and four. The emergency room drama follows four first-year residents and their colleagues who must tend to patients in an understaffed, busy emergency room that lacks sufficient resources.
