Stand-up comedian and "high priest of comedy PowerPoint" (The Times) Dave Gorman returns to UKTV with a brand-new show, Dave Gorman: Terms and Conditions Apply (8x60'). Once again Dave will be bringing his trusty screen along but now, in each episode, he will also be joined by three comedy guests as they cast their eye over his latest modern world discoveries, compete in mischievous games and generally try to unscramble the baffling morass of non-stop information that surrounds us in the internet age.

Dave Gorman Modern Life is Goodish ran for five series on Dave, attracting 1.5 million viewers per episode at its peak, and is one of UKTV's most successful original commissions.

Dave Gorman said,

I'm delighted to be getting the band back together and making another show for Dave. I'm still trying to navigate my way through the bombardment of non-stop information... but hopefully, this show will prove I'm far from alone in finding it all quite so baffling.

Dave Gorman: Terms and Conditions Apply is produced by Avalon, commissioned for UKTV by Iain Coyle, head of comedy and entertainment, and ordered by Richard Watsham, director of commissioning and Luke Hales, Dave channel director. Dave Gorman: Terms and Conditions Apply is directed by Paul Wheeler and series produced by James Fidler.

Iain Coyle said,

It is a matter of great personal pride that I am, again, getting to work with one of the most creative and unique voices in television and comedy.

Luke Hales said,

Well we did name a TV channel after him, so figured we should probably give him another show! But jokes aside, we're hugely pleased to be able to continue our relationship with Dave Gorman on this brand-new series.

Jamie Isaacs, executive producer at Avalon, said,

It's very exciting to be bringing Dave and the Modern Life Is Goodish team back together for a new show with UKTV.

Dave Gorman is one of a huge number of star names appearing on Dave, alongside Hypothetical, hosted by Josh Widdicombe with James Acaster, and returning favourites such as Taskmaster, John Richardson: Ultimate Worrier, Judge Romesh and scripted comedies Sliced and Porters. Expedition with Steve Backshall, UKTV's co-production with BBC, airs later in the year.

Dave Gorman: Terms and Conditions Apply will air later this year on Dave.

Praise for Dave Gorman Modern Life Is Goodish

"As much a lecture as traditional stand-up, and features original journalism... Gorman makes me laugh. He also tells me stuff I don't know... The show was a little tour de force, terrific-ish. *****"
Andrew Billen, The Times

"This deceptively simple series, in which Dave Gorman gives illustrated lectures on myriad elements of everyday existence, is one of the Dave channel's biggest hits, probably because Gorman is such a funny and affable person to spend an hour with. *****"
Boyd Hilton, Heat

"His fine observations and crafted running jokes will soon have you snorting... Dave's website (Dave the channel, not Gorman himself) has an archive of several seasons of this hidden jewel."
Jack Seale, Radio Times

"He handles his audience like a DJ at a club, beginning with a thoughtful set about guilty pleasures... before building to a story about a complicated trick he once played on a know-all friend known as Micki Pedia, the punchline of which has the audience gasp with delight."
Victoria Segal, Sunday Times Culture

"TV Gold: brilliantly-observed... and is naturally very funny."
Ally Ross, The Sun

"Dave Gorman is a clever and inventive comic... and Modern Life Is Goodish shows why he is so popular."
Simon Horsford, Daily Telegraph

"In the study of modern miscellany Dave Gorman is the equivalent of a professor emeritus... Not so much a stand-up comedian as the funniest teacher fans never had... Gorman is an alternative comedian in the most literal sense. There's no one else quite like him."
Ian Burrell, The Independent

"When TV goodish is perfect."
David Stephenson, Sunday Express

"Modern life is neither good nor bad. This is the argument Dave Gorman has made repeatedly since 2013 - and we're still hanging on his every word."
Sara Wallis, Daily Mirror

"It's a sort of cutting-edge documentary-slash-stand-up hybrid, with Gorman offering genius gags aplenty."
Rachel Aroesti, The Guardian

Ever since it was knee high to a TV remote, Dave had an idea. It wanted to be the first place viewers would come for brand-new, award-winning entertainment from the biggest and brightest stars and production companies in the UK. And in the years since, it has launched some of the most exciting and best-loved titles on TV.

There are names like BAFTA and Emmy-nominated Taskmaster - now in its ninth series -, Judge Romesh, Hypothetical, Jon Richardson: Ultimate Worrier and Comedians Giving Lectures. And of course there's Dave Gorman, whose inquisitive mind is returning to the channel for Terms and Conditions Apply. It's not just in front of the camera where the comic genius lies either, with a wealth of scripted treasure such as Sliced, Porters and the globally popular Red Dwarf.

Dave's not content just to make you laugh and share gags with your mates though. Expedition with Steve Backshall and Hurricane Man are showing you regions and aspects of the earth never before seen on TV. Red Bull Soapbox continues to delight with its boundless capacity for invention. And stepping away from the TV entirely, Dave's partnered with CALM to launch the "Be The Mate You'd Want" campaign and the "Conversations Against Living Miserably" podcast.

Reaching 20million viewers a month, Dave's come a long way, but it's only just getting warmed up.
