UKTV recruits Katherine Gandhi as Marketing Director

UKTV has appointed Katherine Gandhi as Marketing Director to lead UKTV's award-winning team. She joins from multinational drinks company, Diageo where she has been for the last ten years. She starts today and will report to CMO, Zoƫ Clapp.

Katherine will be responsible for branding and marketing for the broadcaster's 10 brands, including Dave, Drama and Gold, as well as its on demand service, UKTV Play, managing a team of 20 marketeers to implement marketing for the company.

Katherine started her career at CRU Strategies as an analyst and moved to Diageo in 2008. During her ten years there, Katherine has led customer marketing for Scotch Whisky and managed iconic brands including Smirnoff, Captain Morgan, Baileys and Guinness in different geographies including Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Katherine was awarded a Marketing Academy Scholarship in 2016.

With over 100 shows in production or development, UKTV is working on the biggest commissioning slate in the company's 25-year history. The broadcaster has recently announced two of its first original scripted dramas, Flack, starring Oscar-winning actress Anna Paquin, and Women on the Verge, created by Sharon Horgan and Lorna Martin. These shows will air on W, UKTV's premium female-skewing pay entertainment channel, which will also screen brand new UKTV Originals, Emma Willis: Delivering Babies and Cherry Healey fronted documentary series Sex Knives and Liposuction in the coming months.
