Second series of Jon Richardson: Ultimate Worrier gives Jon one less thing to worry about

JR

UKTV Original series Jon Richardson: Ultimate Worrier will return in 2019 for a second series, with an increased order of 10x60' episodes, on UKTV's award-winning comedy channel Dave.

Obsessive worrier and organiser Jon Richardson will return alongside a whole host of comedy guests, as they attempt to analyse, assess and log every single one of Jon's many, many worries. In series two, Jon's Worry Index has had a full system upgrade and, to help his analysis, Jon will also undergo some worry based 'aversion therapy' at the end of each episode. What a lovely way to congratulate him on a new series.

Jon Richardson worries:

I'd like to thank everyone contributing to the continued destruction of the planet and all those who help us to wake up with an overwhelming sense of the futility of everything for the recommissioning of Ultimate Worrier for a second series. Who'd have thought series one would have failed to fix everything. I feel sure we'll get it this time if we all just believe.

Produced by Talkback (part of Fremantle), Jon Richardson: Ultimate Worrier enjoyed an average of 406k viewers per episode for the eight-part series, tripling Dave's prime-time average and securing the best new series launch since 2016. The UKTV Original series has been ordered for Dave by director of commissioning, Richard Watsham and genre general manager Steve North. Talkback Director of Programmes, Jonno Richards will executive produce the series alongside Kate Edmunds. UKTV's head of comedy Iain Coyle has commissioned the series with Joe McVey, commissioning editor, both will oversee as executive producers for UKTV.

Iain Coyle said:

I view the news that Jon has further refined, and improved, his Worry Index, with a mixture of pride and, increasing, concern. Viewers will have to make their mind up but what is guaranteed is, that it'll be very funny.

Luke Hales, Dave channel director added:

The Dave viewers revelled in Jon's many worries being played out for their pleasure and we can't wait to give them more of what they want. I am personally looking forward to a second series based solely on Jon's discomfort.

Jonno Richards, executive producer for Talkback added:

We're delighted to be working with Jon on a bigger, more ambitious second series of Ultimate Worrier. Jon did an incredible job in series one and we can't wait to bring more of his angst and neuroses to the lucky Dave viewers.

Jon Richardson: Ultimate Worrier is the latest addition to the growing slate of UKTV Original shows on Dave in 2019, including Josh Widdicombe and James Acaster's Hypothetical, Expedition with Steve Backshall and the return of Porters.
